Community Investment Corporation Sponsors "How to Appeal Your Property Taxes" Workshop

Community Investment Corporation (CIC), Chicagoland’s most substantial lender for residential properties, regularly sponsors workshops on “How To Appeal Your Property Taxes”.  It is a part of an ongoing series of training sessions benefiting property managers, as well as owners of single-family and multi-family property.  See the schedule for upcoming workshops for details.

The session covers what property managers can expect from tax appeal boards.  There is an overview of the type of evidence that is most effective in reducing an assessment.  Self-help materials will be provided to owners who wish to appeal on their own.  Participant question and answers can provide guidance to people who wish to engage a consultant or lawyer in securing property tax relief.

The speaker is Andrea A. Raila, a former Cook County Board of Review tax case decisionmaker.  Ms. Raila will share insider tips that can really make the difference in your tax appeal.

You must preregister to attend a CIC tax appeals workshop.  A fee is required. Call CIC at 312-258-0070 or log on at CIC’s website.
